Yes, I am blogging on my other blog, "A Retro Artist in a Digital Age".
In the "Retro/Digital" blog, I have a link to a P-G article (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), on SXSW (South by Southwest) Tech/Film convention, that expresses how I sometimes feel. I keep thinking that there is way too much stress on being "Connected". Yet, I don't necessarily feel connected - in the most human way. It's everywhere, in books, magazines (yes, the paper version still exists), even on my television; "... for more information, go to So'n'So.com". I admit, if the subject is interesting enough, I'll look it up, online.
I also think I have information overload. I may be only checking email for a few weeks and stopping to blog - maybe. Sorry, I sometimes get flustered by what I'm told 'I should do' and what it is 'I want to do'. When I'm doing art; I'm told I should be doing more social media marketing, more promotion. When I'm doing more social networking or promo; if I get work in, I can't do the blog or spend time on LinkedIn. I am 'on the clock' way too much as it is. So, what's the answer, time management? That only goes so far, believe me. Life doesn't go by the book.
I think I will 'manage' to slow my 'time' down... wanna have lunch?
